| THE BOOK OF TRAVEL TO NORWAY AND SWEDEN 3 In Sweden, thank to Maggane and Anne, we could go sightseeing some good places. Falun is famous for a copper mine, and all the houses are painted copper red. In old days, it because the paint came from the mine, and now they have to paint their houses copper red as a rule. The green of turfs and the red of the houses. It was very beautiful. Before our visiting, it was hot like a summer day, they said. But when we were in Sweden, it was rather cold especially in the evening. Still I loved the weather there. (I really hate high humidity of this rainy season in Japan!) We went to see the place for ski jump (I don't know what to say in English, sorry.). They said that Harada, a famous Japanese ski jumper, often comes here. I didn't know this "Lugnet", but it must be very famous. In this place, an equestrian event was hold. |
